This is a classically styled Staunton Chess Set in rosewood and boxwood.
The stallion knights are characterized by proud, slightly larger than average heads and prominent chests, making this a very "masculine" set!
These pieces have excellent proportion, with top quality carving in evidence, and are double-weighted for a nice substantial feel.
All pieces have leather padded bases, and this set comes with extra queens!

We say:
This is one of our larger chess sets, and so we recommend boards of at least 19 inches in size.
The rosewood pieces add an extra touch of class over our sheesham equivalent, making this a truly high-end set of distinction.
