These rosewood and boxwood classic style chess pieces are a real pleasure to behold.
They are double weighted, with broad felted bases and display great detailing.
The rosewood pieces have a natural deep red/brown sheen with a dark striped coloring.
Being nicely balanced in the hand, and with a smooth dense grain, this set is a tactile delight!

A highly recommended mid-range set of pieces, both great to look at and to play with!
The wide base means a larger size chessboard is required - we recommend at least 17 inches
